Vacua+ is Vacua's optional monthly or yearly subscription. It unlocks a set of quality-of-life features and personalisation options that go beyond what the free tier offers. No essential communication feature is locked behind Vacua+ — it's all about extras and expression.

Expression & Profile
- Animated avatar — upload a GIF as your profile picture
- Profile banner — add a full-width banner image to your profile card
- Global custom emojis — use emojis from any server you're in, anywhere on Vacua
- Profile decoration — animated frames and effects around your avatar
- Animated emoji reactions — reactions play their full animation
Limits & Capabilities
- 500 MB file uploads (vs 8 MB on free)
- 4000 character messages (vs 2000 on free)
- 200 server limit (vs 100 on free)
- Higher quality screen sharing — stream at 1080p 60 fps (vs 720p 30 fps on free)
- HD video in calls — 1080p camera feed in voice channels

How do I subscribe?
- Go to User Settings → Vacua+.
- Choose Monthly or Yearly.
- Enter your payment details (credit card, PayPal, or Apple/Google Pay where available).
- Your subscription activates immediately.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel at any time:
- Go to User Settings → Vacua+ → Manage Subscription.
- Click Cancel Subscription.
- Your Vacua+ perks remain active until the end of the current billing period.
- You won't be charged again after cancellation.
Cancelling does not delete your account or any of your data.
Will I lose my perks immediately after cancelling?
No. Your Vacua+ perks stay active until the end of the billing cycle you already paid for. After that, your account reverts to the free tier. Animated avatars will revert to static, and any files uploaded above the 8 MB limit will still be accessible until they expire.

Can I gift Vacua+ to someone?
Yes! To gift Vacua+:
- Go to User Settings → Vacua+ → Gift a Subscription.
- Select a plan duration (1 month or 12 months).
- Enter the recipient's username or share the gift link directly.
Gift subscriptions are one-time purchases and do not auto-renew.

What is the difference between Vacua+ and Vacua Visionary?
Vacua Visionary was a limited-time lifetime Plutonium offering that sold out in February 2026. It is no longer available for purchase. Visionary holders retain their perks indefinitely. See What was Vacua Visionary? for details.

I subscribed but my perks aren't showing up
Try these steps:
- Log out and back in.
- Check User Settings → Vacua+ to confirm the subscription status shows as Active.
- If your payment is still processing, wait a few minutes and refresh.
- If the issue persists, contact support via the Vacua HQ server or the bug report form.
Is my payment information stored securely?
Vacua does not store your full card number. Payments are processed through Stripe, which is PCI DSS Level 1 certified — the highest level of payment security certification.
